

Mike Hasiuk('94) recently sold his soccer supply company in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and took time out to travel throughout the Mediterranean to visit historic sites and take in local culture. Mike returned to the east coast and prepared for league play with his amateur club, King Donair. We're proud to report that the former Olympic hopeful now has his first league cup as King Donair won its first national championship in October.
Nils Heinke('72) remains one of the pivotal players and coaches in D&E athletic history. A native of Chile, Nils first came to the U.S. in 1968 and traveled to Elkins in a tiny auto with Hank Steinbrecher. The two set sail from Brooklyn, NY and have never looked back since, either leading their alma mater to national prominence or helping the U.S. women's national team win their second world championship in 1999. Nils resides in Elkins with his family and travels frequently to conduct international business. A member of the D&E Athletic Hall of Fame, Nils was a perennial All-American as a player and NSCAA-recognized coach during his years at the helm of soccer operations in the 1980s.
Robert "Mouse" Herman('74) played for Fred Schmalz and was a teammate of Jorge Bergen's. He lives in New Jeresy and would like to help FOSS in any way possible.
Sheldon Hilaire('95) and his wife, Christina ('95) work and reside in Pineville, NC. Shellie is an investment banker and a man of incredulous financial resources. It's not clear what his overall portfolio includes both rumour has it that it may have the future of T&T football within its grasp!
Doug Homer('93) is Director of Development for the U.S. Soccer Foundation in Washington, D.C. He spends most of his time with his family in addition to coaching men's amateur and youth travel soccer teams in Northern Virginia. As FOSS' President, Doug establishes contact with as many alumni, friends and college officials to ensure that the legacy of D&E soccer is not overlooked or mis-represented.
Gary Horvath('62) captained the very first Senator squad in 1961 and has since been involved in soccer from his home in Wintergreen, Va. Gary expressed his delight in reading of our intent to organize a national soccer alumni council. He can be reached at (804) 325-2500.
Josh Hubbard('97) played one season for the Senators in 1997 prior to graduating and moving out west to pursue a career with ICG Commerce in San Francisco. Josh has accompanied his brother, Jeremiah, to Elkins each year for our reunions and continues to be the largest brother tandem to ever grace the fields in scarlet and white.
Jeremiah Hubbard('97) is somewhere in the foothills of Morgantown, WV searching for the cure to cancer. He was spotted in the foothills alongside Zack Henderson and Rob Hakimoglu measuring what appeared to be size 20EEE footprints of a local Bigfoot. The local newspaper ran the story and mis-identified Jer as the owner of such boots. We know the truth.
Pat Heintzelman('95) is somewhere in Marietta, GA earning a living and enjoying life. Pat played at D&E for two years, beginning in 1992 and concluding in 1995. He fondly recalls the road trips to Florida with the Trinnies, Hasiuk, Voorheis, and the Boys from Va. Beach.
