Ben Royce ('06) played for the Senators from 2002-06 and graduated from D&E after a stellar four-year career as the team's primary goalkeeper. A native of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, Royce recalls a memorable practice session where Coach Stolli knew something was up and decided to take things into his own hands to teach his players the value of commitment to the team. According to Royce, "some of the guys had gone out drinking the night before; quite heavily I might add. During practice, Stolli knew that something was wrong because they were acting really sluggish and were sucking it up pretty bad. He had us run the hill, the whole team, and was saying "I can smell the alcohol in your sweat!!" Keep going!!! I'll get it outta ya!!" That was hilarious!." Ben plans to help FOSS fulfill its commitment to the new gym and plan for the future development of a soccer-specific facility.
